EATING DISORDERS / DISORDERED EATING

We work with adults and adolescents (12+) both in person and virtually, struggling with disordered eating behaviors and various eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorder (OSFED), Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and "Orthorexia".

Our work with clients is therapeutic and often long-term. We typically see clients anywhere from 1-2x/week to 1-2x/month, more often if stepping down from a higher level of care, starting treatment for an eating disorder for the first time, or doing FBT (family-based treatment).

The first visit with one of our dietitians is typically 75 - 90 minutes and includes a full nutrition assessment. Follow ups are typically 55 minutes and set according to the level of support you and your provider believe will help you achieve your goals. It is not uncommon for follow up visits to become more/less frequent, as needed, moving forward.

As a part of treatment, our dietitians often coordinate care with other members of the client's team, including but not limited to: licensed therapists, psychiatrists, case workers, and primary care providers. Medical stability is required to initiate and maintain treatment at the outpatient level, and dietitians may need to request additional medical monitoring outside of scheduled appointments.
